On the evening of November 8, 2010, tragedy struck at a nightlife establishment on the west side of Detroit, Michigan, claiming the life of 30-year-old Black male Christopher Spencer. The incident occurred at the Boogie Down Lounge, a venue located at 9933 Greenfield Road, situated between Chicago and Plymouth roads. This location, known for its late-night activity, became the site of a violent homicide that was later cataloged as number 258 on the city's homicide victim list for that year.
