In the summer of 2021, a tragic event unfolded in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, leaving a family and community in mourning. On Saturday, July 17, 2021, 34-year-old Chad William Lowry was found dead in Bullskin Township. A man known for his love of the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, and a devoted father, Chad's life was cut short in a violent encounter.
Pennsylvania State Police were called to a residence on East End Road just before noon for a reported shooting.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Chad William Lowry deceased at the scene. The individual suspected of the shooting, identified as 35-year-old Jeremy Alan Lowry of Connellsville, had already fled in a truck.
As investigators were en route to the initial crime scene, they received a second report. About six miles away on Wiltrout Hollow Road, Jeremy Alan Lowry was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The authorities investigated the case as a murder-suicide.
While law enforcement did not immediately release details about the relationship between the two men or a possible motive, Chad's obituary lists a deceased brother by the name of Jeremy Lowry. This tragic event concluded with no further arrests as the sole suspect had taken his own life.
