On July 23, 1997, Calvin B. Strong, a 32-year-old white male, was found shot to death in his vehicle on Switzer Road north of Fostoria, Wood County, Ohio. The incident occurred during what was believed to be a drug transaction. Strong was in his car with another male subject when they drove to rural Switzer Road to meet other individuals in a second vehicle.
