Curtis W. Francis, a 34-year-old white male, was tragically murdered on December 9, 2006, in Piketon, Ohio. Curtis and his fiancée, Jennifer Burgette, were shot to death while they slept in their home on Hopper Road. The case, known as the "Hopper Road double murder," remains unsolved to this day. The Pike County Sheriff's Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation have investigated the case multiple times, but it has been shelved and is now listed as a cold case.
