In the summer of 2011, a grim discovery was made in a Detroit neighborhood that left a family shattered and a community searching for answers. On June 26th, authorities responded to a call on Westmoreland Street, near 7 Mile Road, where they found the remains of two young men. One of the victims was later identified as 24-year-old Charles W. Reid, a Black male from Detroit. The other man was 26-year-old Martez Norwood.
