In the late summer of 2011, the city of Detroit was marked by another act of violence that left a family grieving and a community with unanswered questions. On August 30th, 37-year-old Antwan Pogue, an African American male, was found deceased. His life was cut short at 1973 East Davison, a location that would become a somber landmark in the narrative of his untimely death. The circumstances of his passing were determined to be a homicide, a stark confirmation of a life taken by force.
