Ashia McFadden, a 31-year-old woman from Dayton, OH, tragically lost her life on November 5, 2014. She was shot in the head by her husband, Ricardo Santiago Jr., inside their home on Neal Avenue. The incident occurred early in the morning, and Ashia's death was ruled a homicide. Ricardo Santiago Jr., who was 31 years old at the time, also shot himself but survived.
