Rebecca C. Eldemire, a 21-year-old female student at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, tragically lost her life on February 1, 2015. She was fatally shot by her ex-boyfriend, Larry Tipton, in her off-campus apartment. The incident was later determined to be a murder-suicide. Eldemire, who was Caucasian, had recently broken up with Tipton, and he drove from Columbus to confront her.
