Marlina Annette Medrano, a 46-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on May 12, 2017, in Kirkersville, Ohio. She was a dedicated nurse working at the Pine Kirk Care Center nursing facility. On that fateful day, she was killed by a gunman, along with her coworker Cindy Krantz, a nurse's aide, and Kirkersville Chief Steven Eric DiSario. The shooter, Thomas Hartless, had a history of violence and a tumultuous relationship with Medrano.
