In the spring of 2012, a young life was tragically cut short on the east side of Detroit. Antonio Washington, a 23-year-old African American man, was killed on May 3rd of that year. The incident that claimed his life took place at 14844 Tacoma Street, a detail that has been preserved in the city's homicide records for that year.
