Kaleem Primm, a 22-year-old man from Akron, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed on March 31, 2019. The incident occurred outside a home on East Mapledale Avenue near Sweitzer Avenue. On October 15, 2019, Jovonta Moore was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Kaleem Primm. The Summit County Prosecutor's Office announced that Moore would be eligible for parole after serving 18 years of his sentence. The sentencing brought some measure of justice to Primm's family, who were left devastated by the loss. Prosecutor Walsh emphasized that the sentence sent a strong message that gun violence would not be tolerated and that criminals would be held accountable for their actions.
