In September 2012, 19-year-old Tamika Brooks was found dead inside a burning vehicle in Detroit. Authorities revealed that she had been shot prior to the car being set ablaze, leaving her body severely burned and initially unrecognizable. Brooks' death was classified as a homicide, and the case remained unsolved for several years. Her family described Tamika as a friendly and good-natured person.
