In the winter of 2011, a chilling discovery was made in the southwest side of Detroit, bringing a weeks-long search for a missing man to a grim conclusion. The body of James Mullen, a 39-year-old male from the nearby suburb of Oak Park, was found inside his snow-covered SUV. He had been fatally shot, and investigators believed his body had been in the vehicle for a considerable amount of time, possibly since he was last seen three weeks prior.
