James Michael Waller, a 37-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, died on November 3, 1979, in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was a physician and a member of the Communist Workers' Party . Waller was killed during the Greensboro Massacre, a violent confrontation between members of the CWP and the Ku Klux Klan along with the American Nazi Party.
