Mark Allen Swaney, a 26-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on December 25, 1997, in Davidson, North Carolina. Officer Swaney was serving with the Davidson Police Department at the time of his death. He had been with the department for two years and had previously served with another agency for five years, totaling seven years in law enforcement.
