Witnesses at the scene identified the suspect as Richard Antwaun Graves, a Black male born on September 16, 1982, who resided at 611 Pine Street. Graves fled the scene before officers arrived but later turned himself in to the Burlington Police at 2:50 AM on June 15, 2005.
Richard Antwaun Graves was subsequently arrested and charged with First Degree Murder and Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction. He was held at the Alamance County Jail without bond.
