On July 26, 2013, James Moss, a 55-year-old Black male resident of Detroit, Michigan, died under circumstances that have been categorized in some databases as a death by force or homicide. Known to friends and family as "Bubba" and originally a native of Jefferson County, Alabama, he had made his home in Detroit prior to his untimely passing. His death marked a sudden and tragic end to his life, leading his family to hold memorial services back in his home state of Alabama to honor his memory.
