Vanessa Yvonne Mintz, a 53-year-old Caucasian woman from Saluda, North Carolina, was tragically murdered on February 19, 2011. Vanessa was found dead at the Saluda Mountain Lodge, a family-owned establishment, where she had been shot in the face with a shotgun. The investigation into her death revealed that she had been killed by her husband, Travis McGraw, who was subsequently charged with first-degree murder. McGraw, 44 at the time, was arrested four days after Vanessa's body was discovered.
