On November 6, 2013, a violent mass shooting occurred at Al's Place Barbershop on the east side of Detroit, Michigan, claiming the lives of three men. Among the victims was Kevin Perry, a 40-year-old Black male, who was fatally wounded during the attack. The incident took place around 6:00 p.m. in the 5000 block of East Seven Mile Road, a location authorities described as a front for illicit gambling activities.
