Rayshawn Lydell Hickson, a 34-year-old African American man, was found dead at the Innkeeper Suites on Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on July 25, 2015. Hickson was discovered unresponsive in a motel room around 11 a.m. and appeared to be the victim of a shooting.
