Fernando Alonzo, a male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically died on December 24, 2015, in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The circumstances surrounding his death involved a violent altercation where De La O, the suspect, used a 9mm semi-automatic firearm to kill Fernando Alonzo and assault another individual, Pascual Monjaraz-Sierra. The investigation was led by the Jacksonville Police Department, which resulted in the arrest of De La O.
