Lopez Anthony Dalton, a 34-year-old African American male, was found dead in the parking lot of a Huddle House restaurant in Stokesdale, North Carolina, on December 26, 2015. Dalton had been the victim of a shooting, and his body was discovered by sheriff's deputies who were called to the scene shortly before 3 a.m. The investigation revealed that Dalton had been shot, but details about the motive behind the crime were not immediately released by the authorities.
