On January 2, 2016, 43-year-old Arnette Marshburn was discovered with a gunshot wound to her head beside her car at 3511 U.S. 117 Alternate in Dudley, North Carolina. Residing on Andrews Circle in Mount Olive, Marshburn was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
