Andrew Thomas, a 20-year-old from Fresno, California, was tragically killed on August 7, 2013, in Oakland. He and his son, 1-year-old Drew, were both shot in a targeted attack while they were sitting in a parked car in the Brookfield Village neighborhood of East Oakland. The double homicide sent shockwaves through the community due to the young age of the victims.
