Leon Deondre Carmon, a 25-year-old African American male, was found dead on July 26, 2018, in Cove City, North Carolina. His body was discovered inside his 2015 Nissan Sentra, parked on the side of Woodrow McCoy Road. Carmon had been reported missing by his family the previous day. The Craven County Sheriff's Office confirmed that he had died from a gunshot wound, and his death was investigated as a homicide.
