Dante Angelo Grassi, a 76-year-old male, was tragically killed on October 30, 2019, in Newport, North Carolina. The incident was part of a double murder-suicide that also claimed the life of Beatrice Mary Grassi, a 79-year-old female. The events unfolded at a residence shared by two sisters and their husbands. The Carteret County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call around 9:02 a.m. reporting a shooting at the home located on Newport Loop Road.
