Jose Ivan Garcia Rodriguez, a 31-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on May 10, 2020, in Durham, North Carolina. The incident occurred on South Alston Avenue, where Garcia Rodriguez was attempting to stop an armed robbery of a vehicle. According to preliminary investigations, Garcia Rodriguez confronted the suspect, who then shot him. He was taken to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
