Malik Jones, age 19, was killed on June 20, 2015, during a shooting at a block party in Detroit, Michigan. The shooting took place near a basketball court on Dexter and Webb Street, where more than 400 people had gathered. In what appeared to be a targeted attack, Malik Jones was shot multiple times and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
