Larry Benton, a 65-year-old man from Laurel Hill, North Carolina, tragically died on March 16, 2022, after being shot at his home on Crawford Lake Road in Scotland County. The incident occurred on March 15, 2022, when deputies responded to a call and found Larry Benton unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
