Hector Manuel Gomez, a 25-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on March 5, 2002, in Marion, Louisiana. Gomez, who was a patrolman with the Marion Police Department, was responding to a call from a bank where three suspects, one juvenile and two adults, were attempting to cash a suspicious check.
