On July 28, 2016, Ryan Jones, a 26-year-old African American male from Detroit, Michigan, was fatally shot in an incident that remains under investigation. According to police reports, Jones was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the vicinity of his residence on the city's east side. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
