Sergeant Frederick Albert Riggenbach, aged 52, was a dedicated officer with the Chitimacha Tribal Police Department and a U.S. Navy veteran. On January 26, 2013, he responded to a call about a mobile home fire and an armed subject near Charenton, Louisiana. Upon arriving at the scene, Riggenbach was shot and fatally wounded by the subject with a shotgun.
