In the early morning hours of a Saturday in Detroit, the life of 26-year-old Edward Morris was tragically cut short. On October 22, 2016, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Morris was seated in his gray 2016 Nissan Altima on the city's northeast side. He was in the 20000 block of Wexford, near Winchester Avenue and Ryan Road, when an attempted robbery turned fatal. During the commission of the crime, Morris was shot, sustaining injuries that would prove to be deadly.
