Reginald Field, a 50-year-old African American man, was the Head Dean of Students at Andrew H. Wilson Charter School in New Orleans, LA. On May 25, 2019, Field was shot and killed in the 7th Ward while walking down the street. According to witness reports, a man opened fire on Field, shooting him multiple times before fleeing the scene. Field was remembered as an incredible educator and beloved friend who dedicated his life to education and to children.
