Clarence Reynolds, aged 52, was murdered on December 28, 2017, in Detroit, Michigan. He was found shot to death at his home on Promenade Street, where evidence of a break-in was also discovered. The homicide was part of a robbery in which the perpetrator not only killed Reynolds but also his dog. The incident was particularly violent, with Reynolds sustaining a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
