Karlnita Marks, a 25-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on May 30, 2020, in Baldwin, Louisiana. Her death was a result of a gunshot wound to the head. On the night of her death, Karlnita was driving home from work in Jeanerette when she called her mother, Roynita Claridy, to inform her that someone was following her.
