Lauri Walters Bodin, a 42-year-old Caucasian woman from Youngsville, LA, tragically lost her life on July 23, 2020. The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Maple Grove Lane in Youngsville around 10:00 pm and found Lauri Walters Bodin and her husband, Trent Bodin, dead from gunshot wounds. Investigators determined that Trent Bodin, 45, killed his wife and then shot himself in an apparent murder-suicide.
