Responding to a call, deputies from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office discovered the bodies of Lauri and her 45-year-old husband, Trent Bodin. Investigators concluded that the incident was a murder-suicide, determining that Trent Bodin fatally shot his wife before turning the gun on himself.
