In the late summer of 2020, the community of Shongaloo, Louisiana, was rocked by the violent death of 26-year-old Nicholas Roath. A man known for his love of the outdoors, Nicholas was an avid fisherman and hunter who also enjoyed grilling, camping, and canoeing with his family and friends. He was a father, and his world revolved around his daughter. His life was cut short on August 14, 2020, when he was fatally shot in an altercation in Webster Parish.
