In the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, the life of 22-year-old African-American David Williams-Jones was cut short on the evening of March 19, 2008. That night, Boston Police responded to a report of a person shot at 3 Uphams Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Williams-Jones suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later ruled his death a homicide.
