In the early morning hours of July 14, 2008, the life of 22-year-old Alex Burgos, a Hispanic/Latino male, was tragically cut short on a street in Boston. It was just after midnight, at approximately 12:05 a.m., when the sound of gunshots pierced the night on Ditmus Court in the city's South End neighborhood.
