In the small town of Baldwin, Louisiana, the life of 18-year-old Treamell Robertson Jr. was cut tragically short on the evening of Monday, December 13, 2021. The young man, a resident of nearby Jeanerette, was fatally wounded in a shooting that unfolded on Railroad Avenue. When deputies from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, they discovered that Robertson had been shot and had succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the homicide led detectives to
identify a primary suspect, Gerald Joseph Druilhet Jr. Authorities subsequently arrested Druilhet on charges of second-degree murder and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile. The inquiry did not end with his apprehension, as the investigation uncovered evidence suggesting others were involved in the aftermath of the shooting.
Two women were also taken into custody in connection with Robertson's death. One of the women, identified as 45-year-old Tamika Stewart Bougere of Baldwin, faced charges of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder, accessory after the fact to illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile, and obstruction of justice by tampering with evidence. Another woman was also arrested and charged in the ongoing investigation. Treamell Robertson Jr. was later laid to rest in the Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette.
