On a cold Boston day in early December of 2008, a 50-year-old African-American man named John T. Smith was killed in what would become a quiet and unresolved case. On December 3rd, police were called to 710 Hyde Park Avenue, where they found Mr. Smith. He had been shot and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner would later determine his death to be a homicide.
