On a Tuesday night in March of 2010, the life of 22-year-old Nathaniel Taylor of Mattapan was cut short by gunfire in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. Shortly after 11 p.m. on March 16th, police responded to a report of a shooting and discovered Taylor inside a residence at 71 Norwell St. suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services transported him to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The incident was one of numerous homicides that plagued the Dorchester and Mattapan neighborhoods that year.
