Anthony Smalls, 40, was found dead on the morning of July 2, 2010, in Dorchester, Boston. His body was discovered outside 4 Milton Avenue, and authorities responded to a call just after 6 a.m. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene. Smalls had been shot, and his death added to the mounting toll of homicides that year in the Dorchester and Mattapan areas of Boston, which experienced a significant number of violent incidents in 2010.
