On the morning of July 2, 2010, Anthony Smalls, a 40-year-old African-American male, was found fatally shot in Boston. The father of nine was discovered unresponsive on a sidewalk in Dorchester around 6:05 a.m. after police responded to a call about a body found at 4 Milton Avenue. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced him deceased.
