Murdered

On September 2, 2010, 18-year-old Eric Smith-Johnson was shot and killed on Blue Hill Avenue in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood. He and another 18-year-old were both targeted in what police determined was not a random incident. Smith-Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second victim was rushed to the hospital. The shooting occurred shortly after midnight, and both victims were known to authorities. The murder left the community shaken, and the investigation remains ongoing.
