Cassandra Marie Jeanette Corum, a 21-year-old white female, was found dead on July 14, 1996, in Livingston County, Illinois. Her body was discovered floating in the Vermilion River, nude and with a gunshot wound to the head. Duct tape had been placed over her mouth, indicating she had been restrained before her death.
