On a summer night in Boston, the life of 31-year-old Dominic Guerrier, a Black male, was cut short by a hail of bullets. On July 7, 2011, at approximately 11:20 p.m., police responded to reports of a person shot at the intersection of Mascot Street and Mountain Avenue in the city's Dorchester neighborhood. There, they found Guerrier suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
