In the summer of 2011, a tragedy unfolded in Boston that claimed the life of 17-year-old Elvis Sanchez, a Hispanic male, and his mother. On the evening of August 7, 2011, both Sanchez and his mother, Elvira Pimentel, were fatally shot at 3964 Washington Street in Roslindale. The Boston Police Department responded to a call for a person shot and found the teenager, who was pronounced deceased. His death was officially ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
