In the spring of 2013, a spasm of violence gripped the city of Boston, and in its midst, a young life was tragically cut short. Clifton Townsend, a 22-year-old African-American man from Roxbury, became a victim of this surge in violence on the evening of April 17th. That night, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the relative normalcy of the commercial area around 237 Dudley Street.
