On September 30, 2015, 28-year-old Laprentis Cudjo was found deceased in a burning vehicle in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood. Emergency responders arrived at approximately 2:11 p.m. in the 10700 block of South Eggleston, where they discovered his body inside the torched car. An autopsy later revealed that Laprentis Cudjo had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head, and his death was classified as a homicide.
